  • "On the 4th of July our heat pump quit. We spent the next two days trying to get someone to come out and fix the a/c. Message after message went unanswered by companies we were referred to by our home warranty service. Finally by Sunday evening, my husband called A T Harris from the listing here on Angie's List. What a difference! Their technician, John was at our door in less than 30 minutes. He immediately got to work to identify the problem. Admittedly, it took a while but keep in mind he was working in the dark since it was dusk when he arrived. He checked everything quite thoroughly and discovered that the capacitor on the compressor was shot. It looked like that can of beans at the back of the pantry that you forgot you had. Anyway, he replaced the capacitor, rechecked everything and gave it all good marks. Within a few minutes the system was pumping out cold air again. Since my husband and I are both cardiac patients on beta-blockers it is of the utmost importance that we do not become overheated and with the house at 90 degrees we were about to check into a hotel until we found John and A T Harris.     "Service was great! I had another company check the unit a few months prior and they charged me for freon and a service call. They did not fix the problem which was an old and leaking unit. A T Harris came out found the problem and showed me why the unit had a leak. His service call was reasonable and he deducted it from my bill once I decided to replace the unit. They were prompt, professional. They verified everything was working properly before they left. The install looks great and they left nothing for me to clean up. Great job!"

    "My AC unit failed and was serviced by another company back in November. They did not seem very professional. It failed again after two months. I was ready to replace the complete system, it is nineteen years old. I contacted A T Harris to check this unit and give me an estimate for replacement. He found a bad thermostat and did not see a reason to replace the system at this time. After replacing the T-stat the system is working fine. When the system does fail I will be calling A T Harris for a new AC. Thanks for not selling me an expensive service I don't need!"
